He has since obtained his UEFA A Diploma and UEFA B Diploma, as well as his CSA National B Coaching License in Canada.

A Vancouver native, Elliott played NCAA Division 1 soccer at the University of Portland – twice leading the West Coast Conference in points and twice earning First Team All-Conference honours. He went on the play internationally in Germany with SportFreunde Siegen 1899 and FSV Mainz 05, and then back home with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
