Title: Assistant Coach

Martin Best joined the Blues coaching staff in August of 2024.

Best has been an assistant coach in the club system with Fusion FC, working with their 2008 team and was also part of the staff of 2006 players that won a provincial championship. He has helped guide teams from NorVan FC, Vancouver Fire Fighters FC and Westside FC to five provincial championships.

A former Blues player, Best was an all-conference player as part of a strong Capilano side in the 1987 season, playing alongside other Blues standouts such as Ray Pang, Randy Celebrini and Rob Reed. He went on to play at the professional level with the Winnipeg Fury of the Canadian Soccer League where he was teammates with Blues head coach Steve Millar.

Best is a firefighter with West Vancouver Fire and Rescue.
