Dennis Kindel enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Capilano University women's soccer team in 2019. He has led the Blues to medals at the PACWEST Championships in each of the past three seasons, including silver in each of the past two. 

Kindel has gained over 15 years of experience coaching female student-athletes in high performance programs. He has coached in the Pacific Coast League, Y-League, Premier Division, BC Soccer Premier League, and CIS, and manages the West Vancouver Sentinel Secondary soccer academy. He began his coaching career in 2002 when he was an assistant coach in the IPL female soccer league. Since that time, Kindel has led his teams to five national championship appearances, won three BC provincial titles and two league championship titles.

As a student-athlete, Kindel was an accomplished goalkeeper throughout his career at Capilano College from 2001-2004. Kindel captained the team to a gold medal at the 2003 CCAA National Championships, earning the CCAA Best Goalkeeper award and winning three conference all-star awards. Kindel also played for the U-17 Canadian national team, U-23 Canadian Olympic team, Vancouver Whitecaps Reserve team, Simon Fraser University, and for the Div. III Doncaster Rovers Football Club in England. Kindel also won a national title with the Metro Ford men’s team.
