The Blues finished the season with a pair of matches this past weekend against the Langara Falcons and VIU Mariners.
Saturday evening, the Blues battled the Langara College Falcons at UBC's Ken Woods Field to a 2-1 loss.
The Blues played their game and kept possession, but it wasn't enough to fend off the Langara Falcons.
"The lads were battling alongside each other throughout the entire game... I was proud of the work rate, the willingness to put their bodies on the line in order to win the ball and block shots or crosses. The desire to win was there, unfortunately, we came up short this time." said assistant coach David Andreychuk.
Scoring for the Blues was Jeremy Monn-Djasngar as the Blues managed two shots on goal and a third shot that struck the post before being cleared by the Falcons defenders.
To finish their season, the men played their final match against the VIU Mariners at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver, BC resulting in a 2-0 win.
The Blues controlled the majority of play putting 12 shots on net. Scoring for the Blues was Jared Crane in the 29th minute off a header assisted by Adrian Sahagun's header. Scoring the 2nd goal for the Blues was Nima Moazeni Zadeh off a beautiful strike assisted by Adrian Sahagun for his second assist of the match.
The victory also marks goalkeeper Colby Moore's first official shutout of his Blues career.
The men finish their season 3-6 in 4th place failing to qualify for the PACWEST Provincial Championships.
