The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) annual general meeting (AGM) was held in a virtual format again this year and concluded June 11.
Some items of note include full CCAA membership for a new athletic conference, formatting changes to national championships for two sports, naming of new executive members and dates set for member schools and conferences to declare participation in CCAA national championship tournaments.

After completing a probationary period, the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) has been approved for full membership for 2021-22 in the sports of volleyball and soccer.
CCAA national championships for basketball and volleyball will move to a four-day format from the previous three-day arrangement. This aligns with the format used in soccer and gives a day in between games for the semi-finals and finals.
Several new names have taken on roles with as CCAA executives, directors and convenors including Danielle Hyde from Vancouver Island University (VIU) of the PACWEST.
The CCAA has also welcomed a new member school - the 99th school to join the CCAA - in Cégep de Thetford of Thetford Mines, Que. and the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) conference.
