With a number of recruits having been announced over the past few weeks, below is a complete list of those that have been announced via Instagram and Twitter.
Men's Basketball
Julien Duker
Hometown: Toronto, ONT
Previous Schools: Trinity Western
Height: 6'3"
Position: Guard
Coach Kannemeyer: "Julien Duker comes to the Blues as a transfer student from Trinity Western University where he redshirted for coach Trevor Pirdie. Julien was looking for a change of scenery and wanted to contribute on the floor. If Julien works hard and competes he will be able to reach his immense potential. A track star in Ontario, Julien is a tremendous athlete who can lock down opposing teams' best player, shoot off the catch and finish acrobatically at the rim. As a coaching staff we are excited to work with Julien."
Julien: "What do I plan to bring to the Blues: My heart, determination, and my ALL on the court and off the court. 110% always."
Women's Basketball
Madeleine Counsell
Hometown: Port Moody, BC
Previous Schools: Heritage Woods Secondary
Height: 5'9"
Position: Guard
Coach Weimer, "I'm excited to have Maddy join our group coming over from a strong Heritage Woods girl's basketball program. She loves to play defense, and it shows. Her tough as nails attitude and high basketball IQ along with her relentless heart and hustle make her an asset at both ends of the court. We're excited to get her out there and see what she can do at the University level. She has also been accepted into the highly respected Bachelor of Music Therapy program at Capilano University."
Jenna Griffin
Hometown: North Vancouver, BC
Previous Schools: Windsor Secondary
Height: 5'6"
Position: Forward
Coach Weimer, "I'm thrilled to have Jenna joining our Blues family this upcoming season. She is an exciting and dynamic player who can punish opponents from inside and out. Her ability to get to the rim and finish or feed her teammates coupled with her deep shooting range makes her a tough assignment for any team. Also, a crafty defender, Jenna is highly effective on and off the ball. One of the top 4A guards in the Province this past season, I am confident Jenna will have an immediate impact in her rookie campaign in the PACWEST. Jenna was the recipient of the 2020 BC 4A Girls Provincials prestigious Complete Player Award from the Quinn Keast Foundation."
