Sunday's game at CapU's Lillooet Park saw the Blues score early on Alanah Dulong's fourth of the season but the Falcons evened it before halftime.
Caitlyn Chiu's first goal in Blues colours, a flawless finish to the top left corner from a play started by Kaitlyn Johnson and Mya Fraser, looked like it might stand up as the winner but Langara tied it late on a long drive from Alex Paul.
On Saturday at Langara, Aynsley Hurtado scored twice, including the game-winning goal, in a 3-2 victory. Sophie Pather had the other Blues tally, the first goal of her Blues career.
The four points Capilano earned on the weekend, along with the fact Douglas College picked up just one point from their road trip to Vancouver Island University, put the Blues alone in first place in the PACWEST standings with a 4-1-3 record.
After a bye week for Thanksgiving weekend, the Blues’ next action is Oct. 14 and 15 at Vancouver Island University against the 3-3-2 Mariners.
Capilano has back-to-back home games to conclude the schedule. Douglas College visits CapU on Oct. 21 in a 1 p.m. start with Langara coming on Oct. 22 in a noon kickoff.
