Maddy Coffin is the Capilano University Blues women's Athlete of the Week.
The fourth-year forward from North Vancouver averaged 15.3 points over three games in helping the Blues to a bronze medal at the PACWEST provincial tournament hosted at CapU last week.
She opened the tournament with 17 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in a decisive win over Langara and had nine points and seven boards against eventual champion VIU in the semifinals.
The 5-foot-11 forward saved her best for last with 20 points, including a pair of threes, with four boards and two steals in the 61-49 bronze-medal win over Douglas.

The Oshawa, Ont. native picked up 11 points and seven assists in an opening-round win over Douglas but went to another level in Friday's 75-66 double-overtime win over the favoured Camosun Chargers as he scored a season-high 21 points with a pair of threes in 39 minutes of work.
In Saturday's title match, Athman was spectacular in playing all but two minutes of the game, registering 21 points, seven assists and three steals. His defensive work held PACWEST Player of the Year Kameron Bender to just four points in the second half.
