The Capilano University Centre for Sport and Wellness is set to host its summer exhibition series featuring NCAA D1 talent, and USPORT/CanadaWest and CCAA/PACWEST talent.
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC — Elite-level collegiate basketball is headed to the North Shore this summer. The Capilano University Centre for Sport and Wellness is thrilled to play host to marquee matchups featuring powerhouse NCAA Division 1 programs against provincial top-tier competition.
Basketball fans, students, and community members will have a rare opportunity to experience the explosive athleticism, precision, and skill of NCAA Division 1 basketball in Metro Vancouver. This summer exhibition series promises high-intensity summer hoops right here in the community.
Capilano University is excited to welcome future Hall of Fame Head Coach Matt Painter, who is entering his 22nd season leading the Boilermakers. Coach Painter has won five Big Ten Coach of the Year honors, captured multiple conference titles, and led his programs to 18 NCAA tournament appearances—including a historic run to the NCAA National Championship Game in 2024. Having a coach of his stature on the floor at the Centre for Sport and Wellness makes this a truly monumental event for local hoops fans.
