OFFICIAL PACWEST MEDIA RELEASE
Betker led the Blues with 282 kills this season and was tops in the PACWEST with 3.81 kills per set. Her 4.51 average total offence per set was second in the conference. Betker, a native of Kimberley, B.C. and a kinesiology student at Capilano, led the Blues with .349 hitting percentage. This is the first time that a Capilano women's volleyball player has taken this award since 2015 when Kira Sutcliffe won it. This is the first time a Blues player has taken the Top Outside Hitter nod since the PACWEST began giving it out in 2022.
Rourke was once again a force at the net as a middle blocker, posting a conference-leading 61 blocks and 0.84 blocks per set. This is the first time a Blues player has taken the Top Middle Blocker award.
After guiding the team to a 19-1 regular-season record and a No. 1 CCAA ranking, Soolsma took the Coach of the Year award, the first time a Blues coach has earned this since Wayne Desjardins took it in 2012.
