Barcha Hnizdilova is the Indigo Park Canada Capilano University Blues women's Athlete of the Week.
Hnizdilova led the Blues in scoring for the weekend, totalling 26 points to go along with 17 rebounds despite a pair of setbacks to visiting VIU.
The third-year forward went for eight points and six boards in Friday’s low-scoring result but showed more true to form Saturday with a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
For the weekend, Hnizdilova added three blocks and three assists and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

The fifth-year guard from Idaho totalled 43 points for the weekend, as the Blues sustained two defeats at the hands of VIU.
In Friday’s opener, Lang was efficient and productive throughout the contest, finishing with 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, which included four threes.
On Saturday, he was 6-of-11 on his way to 16 points. For the weekend, he shot 65 per cent from the floor (17-of-26), 63 per cent from three (7-of-11) while adding nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.
